My son, who became a middle-year student this spring.
Thanks to everyone, he's growing up healthy and strong, transitioning from the Squirrel Class to the Violet Class.
Starting with Anpanman, then Tomica, then Pokémon.
His obsessions change busily day by day, but that's part of growing up.
It's heartwarming to see his range of interests expand.
Among them, one toy he's been playing with for a relatively long time is Gakken's Newblock.

I liked it when I was a kid too, so I play with him, and I still genuinely enjoy it.
I think it's because block play is similar to choosing clothes for me.
Or rather, choosing clothes is similar to block play.
Even with the same pieces, there are endless combinations.
The feeling of discovering new ways to combine things by messing around with them, that's exactly how I enjoy styling clothes.
Now that I'm warmed up, I'd like to continue writing this blog.
A story about Newblock and clothes.

When I buy new clothes,
it's like a child getting a new shape of Newblock.
Just imagining how to play with it is fun, and driven by that impulse, I pull out what I already have and arrange them together.
What I value when shopping is that the item can be "played" with what I already own.
It's not a completely different genre of toy; it's still a new piece within the Newblock system.
I like seamlessly integrating it with what I already have to create new styles.
I want to keep using my favorite parts forever.
But using them in similar ways eventually gets boring...
By buying new shapes, I expand my range of play with a fresh feeling.
Just adding one new connectable piece makes my existing clothes look new.

I try to incorporate things I like into my own wardrobe and the store without being too constrained by genre, but...
When planning special orders, I'm very mindful of whether they can connect with items we've already offered.
Released last weekend:
BONCOURA × SEEK&FIND
EXCLUSIVE PULLOVER SHIRTS

outer : KENNETH FIELD 23SS Special Order GUIDE SHIRTS
shirts : BONCOURA 24SS Special Order PULLOVER SHIRTS
inner : Takes.
pants : KENNETH FIELD 22SS Special Order GURKA TROUSER WIDE
shoes : Padmore&barnes 22FW Special Order ORIGINAL LOW
For those of you who have read this long blog to the end,
I styled this with past items that I assume some of you own.
Navy, charcoal, and black basic colors are made moderately pop.
Do they connect well?
Our special order items are shaped by our current mood, what we want to wear, and our own proposals.
They don't overly reflect current trends, so I think they don't really have a "so-and-so era vibe" or a "trendy vibe."
That's precisely why you can enjoy them for a long time, season after season.

outer : BONCOURA 23SS Special Order JUNGLE FATIGUE JACKET
shirts : BONCOURA 24SS Special Order PULLOVER SHIRTS
Now, for the 25SS buying and special order planning,
I'd like to indulge in fantasies with the theme, "What would go with this short-sleeved pullover shirt?"
How about a new piece?
