June passed in a flash.
I guess time felt fast because of the intense two-day, one-night business trip.
I tried several times to convey my feelings in detail, but it was too soon.
There are some flash learnings where freshness is key, but
I thought it's sometimes better to let things mature within myself before sharing them.
So, please let me just share the highlights this time.
June 10th

My Kyoto trip started at lunchtime.
Deluxe udon at Shinoda-ya, a long-established restaurant in Sanjo.

The important task of selecting items at the exhibition was successfully completed.
I won't go into details, but there were so many things I wanted.

After that, I also studied at ROHM Theatre, about a 10-minute walk from the studio.
The eaves, tiles, wood-grain concrete, and color scheme.
And the mountains of the ancient capital visible in the distance.

“This kind of place is good too,” my boss commented.
I gained a new perspective.
After that, I did some research mainly on Gokomachi-dori, and in the evening, I went to Akagaki-ya, which I had been longing for.
Reflecting on the past six months since the previous exhibition and my current situation, I was given five missions.

The night deepened.
By the time I arrived at the inn, the public bath was closed, but it was fine.

I took a shower and slipped into BANANATIME.
It's just that simple, but that's what makes it good.

The next morning, I kept the BANANATIME and switched my top to BONCOURA.

From Kyoto Station, I took the Miyakoji Line to Kashiwabara, Osaka.

Arrived at SALON BONCOURA.

The impressive aging samples always stimulate my desire to own and wear them.

Kokeshi dolls, which I hadn't been very interested in before, suddenly looked cute.
I was somehow happy that I felt that way naturally.

The selection process at SALON BONCOURA was successfully completed.
There were many "THIS IS IT!" items.
After that, I went vintage shopping in Shinsaibashi and Amemura.
Limited time, one-way style with no turning back.
Considering what is valuable to myself.
And being taught things that were outside my values.
Let's accumulate these experiences and connect them to our future work.

Harvested items

Sears 70’s Chambray Embroidered Shirt

Levi’s 90’s 501 pre-dyed gray (assisted by boss)

BROOKS BROTHERS 70’s 6-button B.D.
In the evening, I was taken to Tanuki Tei in Tenmabashi.
I realize once again that it's important to experience wonderful things, not just in clothes, but also in food and housing.

On the way back to Tokyo, as usual, I had a mixed juice as my companion.
Mr. Kusano, Mr. Morishima, thank you for always providing me with such valuable experiences.
I received a lot of inspiration from the three senior mentors in my life, including my boss.
I’ve always loved clothes, but now I love them even more than I did when I was twenty.
Please look forward to the future arrivals from both brands.
Have a nice weekend~!!!
