"I have good news."
One day last year, my boss's words informed me that we would be carrying a "new brand."
This brand is surely already a favorite among many of you who read this blog.

Our boss, who sometimes appears in staff blog stories, is not only a boss but also an active and busy buyer.
Even though he habitually says, "I don't need any more clothes," he still enjoys shopping every year, guided by his aesthetic sense and playful spirit.
Watching him, I can't help but think, "He loves clothes more than anyone, after all."
At some point, I also started to be involved in buying, and it has been quite a journey with its ups and downs.
Some brands were decided upon smoothly, while others didn't quite work out, and we weren't able to establish a connection.

Even the brands that are now commonplace at SEEK&FIND have their own stories leading up to their adoption, whether it's through personal feelings, chance encounters, or human connections.
Furthermore, even brands that we carried before I joined SEEK&FIND, and brands that have continued "now" since my student days when I frequented STEPS as a customer, each have their own stories that are still being woven today.

I enjoy hearing about STEPS stories that I don't know, during breaks between exhibition visits or at casual moments during dinner parties.

A question from some time ago:
Me: "Are there any brands you wanted to carry but couldn't?"
Boss: "Of course there are..."
It's normal for things not to go as planned from the start.
Even so, after repeated offers, some brands have finally joined our team.

Whether it's timing, human connections, or passion, it's not clear exactly why, but it's certainly the result of "multiple reasons intricately overlapping."
I haven't had the experience of continuously making offers to a brand for decades...
"I have good news."
The boss's opening remark.
It seems to be more than just the superficial "addition of a new brand."
It's a brand that he had wanted to carry for a long time but couldn't, and a brand that he "wanted to propose to everyone through the filter of STEPS and SEEK&FIND."
I hope to unveil the crucial new brand in the TOPICS update this weekend, August 30th (Saturday).
What kind of brand do you think it is?
The keywords are "made in NEWYORK" and "the aesthetics of imperfection."

To all SEEK&FIND fans and STEPS fans, please look forward to it.
Have a nice weekend~!!!
