A Dose of Daily Zen / No Need for Salt and Pepper

Around this time of year, it's become a bit of a tradition for me to think about BONCOURA denim.

Once the initial rush of the season subsides, I start to concretely imagine what kind of outfits I'll try this autumn and winter.

And in that process,

BONCOURA denim is one of those things that transcends last year, the year before, next year, or the year after.

While there's a desire to incorporate newness into my style,

when it comes to BONCOURA denim, that actually doesn't matter at all.

It's fine as it is, and as it is, it's good.

While it might make other items look fresh when paired with them,

there's no need for other items to make this denim look fresh.

That's what timeless staples are all about; if you're looking for an accent or spice, you can find it in other items.

"Boss, the usual!"

"Coming right up!"

"What do you want to drink?"

"Beer, to start!"

"How do you want your hair today?"

"The usual!"

There are times when having "the usual" makes things go smoothly, just like that.

When I find something new I want to try, I start by pairing it with BONCOURA denim.

I think it's precisely because I have a well-worn pair that I can embrace other clothes in my own way.

Although the price has gone up since I bought mine two years ago,

I'll probably buy another new pair once this one fades.

They're irreplaceable, and I'll wear them a lot anyway.

Even though I say "the usual is best," this year I'm refreshing my look with a new belt.

I'm subtly adding some "salt and pepper," so to speak.

I tell myself that's probably good enough if I want to enjoy the moment without being too strict.

Well, I believe this will become "the usual" from now on.

Everyone, please enjoy at your own pace and discretion.

That's all for today.

Have a nice weekend~!!!
