The recent event
SOUTHERN FIELD INDUSTRIES / Custom Order Event at SEEK&FIND
Thank you very much to everyone who came to the store.

There were two personal underlying themes for the event.
"Introducing our customers to designer Mr. Okada."
"Introducing our customers to Mr. Okada."
Who makes the bags?
Who buys the bags?
Thinking of Mr. Okada's face when the products arrive.
Thinking of our customers' faces when making the products.
It doesn't visibly improve functionality,
but it feels like it adds a personal touch, and I like that.
It's my personal romanticism...

While practicality and aesthetics are naturally important,
the more points of affection and personal significance, the better.
I would be delighted if customers who couldn't visit the store were able to get a sense of the atmosphere from the Instagram photos and such.
Even for those of you whose schedules didn't align due to limited time,
I spoke a lot about you to Mr. Okada, even though I'm not a very talkative person.
The style of SEEK&FIND
It was a short time, but I believe Mr. Okada understood it.
So, I'm sure we'll be able to create another enjoyable opportunity someday.

I wrote about our store's concept here on this blog a long time ago,
but it's quite difficult to introduce the store with a real, personal touch separately from that.
The best way I've found is to convey "what kind of customers use our store."
"What kind of people, what they are looking for, and how they enjoy using it in their daily lives."
Sometimes, in casual conversations, I rediscover the appeal of products from a perspective I hadn't noticed before,
and if someone expresses, "I wish I had something like 〇〇," I take it as a reference for future sourcing.
It's my daily routine to expand my imagination when sourcing, or planning custom orders and events.
I can't help but feel that everyone's personalities and characters are, unknowingly, directly reflected in our store's unique character.

I want our store to be one where faces come to mind,
and I want to continue working while envisioning many faces. That's how it should be.
That's what I thought on my way home after the event.
See you then.
